MACHINE BUILDER/PRECISION MECHANICAL ASSEMBLER

Entrust Tool and Design manufactures precision automated CNC machinery that is distributed around the world. We are recognized as a leader in the industry and we strive to maintain very high standards of workmanship utilizing advanced technologies.  

We have an opening for a machine builder that requires a combination of technical expertise, creativity and troubleshooting abilities.

Job Description

Assemble precision machinery from components using engineering drawings as reference
Perform machine alignment checks and geometry correction during build and under power
Plumb hydraulic, pneumatic and lubrication devices
Basic electrical component mounting and occasional machine wiring assistance
Install machines at customer facilities and occasional field service (10% travel)

Experience and Requirements

General machining and close tolerance measurement
Welding and fabricating skills
Repair and maintenance of machine tools
Hydraulic and pneumatic circuit theory and practices
Basic electrical theory and practices
Self directed, organized and productive
Attention to detail and a value for workmanship
Professional communication and ability to work with others

Advanced Experience Will Also Provide Additional Opportunities

Tool and die machining skills
CNC programming skills
High performance cutting tool and machining process understanding

MECHANICAL DESIGNER/DETAILER

Due to increased sales and continued growth, Entrust Tool and Design Company, Inc. has a full-time position available in its engineering department for a mechanical design engineer. The individual hired will work closely with others in our engineering group as well as machinists, assemblers and programmers to produce world-class manufacturing equipment.

Job Requirements

Take mechanical assemblies that have been started to completion under the supervision of other engineers
Select power transmission, motion control and other purchased components
Prepare detailed mechanical drawings and bills of material for production
Strong understanding of detailing precision components including dimensional tolerances, geometric tolerances, and general drafting practices

Education/Experience

Associates degree in mechanical design or 3+ years of applicable work experience will be considered based upon understanding of designing and detailing mechanical assemblies
Experience designing precision machinery and automation
Highest priority will be given to a candidate possessing a strong understanding of part tolerance and machine shop practices

Individuals for consideration must have all of the following:

Strong mechanical aptitude
Interest and understanding of manufacturing
Thorough understanding of machine shop practices
Organized, detailed thought process
Self-directed with excellent work ethic
Ability to work quickly and accurately
Very high attention to detail
Ability to share ideas and work with other professionals
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Substantial 3D CAD design skills, preferably with Solidworks (experience with or other 3D modeling software will be considered)
Basic 2D CAD design skills, preferably with Autocad (any version)
Understanding of effective use of software within Windows OS
Microsoft Office skills (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.)
